सेल्फी स्टार अक्षय कुमार अपना कनाडाई पासपोर्ट छोड़ने के लिए तैयार हैं और उन्होंने अपनी नागरिकता की स्थिति को बदलने के लिए आवेदन किया है. इससे पहले भी सुपरस्टार ने कहा था कि वह अपना पासपोर्ट भारत के पासपोर्ट में बदल देंगे, लेकिन कोविड-19 महामारी से देरी के कारण वह ऐसा करने में सक्षम नहीं थे. लेकिन, अब ऐसा लग रहा है कि अभिनेता को जल्द ही भारतीय पासपोर्ट मिल जाएगा.

न्यूज चैनल आजतक पर ‘सीधी बात’ के नए सीजन की पहली कड़ी में साक्षात्कार के दौरान अक्षय ने कहा, भारत मेरे लिए सब कुछ है. मैंने जो कुछ भी कमाया है, जो कुछ भी मैंने पाया है, वह यहां से प्राप्त किया है. और मैं भाग्यशाली हूं कि मुझे वापस देने का मौका मिलता है. बुरा लगता है जब लोग बिना कुछ जाने कुछ भी कहते हैं.

कनाडा का पासपोर्ट सिनेरियो कैसे अस्तित्व में आया, इसका खुलासा करते हुए ‘बच्चन पांडे’ सुपरस्टार ने कहा, मैंने सोचा कि भाई, मेरी फिल्में नहीं चल रही हैं और काम तो करना ही है. मैं वहां काम के सिलसिले में गया था. मेरा दोस्त कनाडा में था और उन्होंने कहा, ‘यहां आओ’. मैंने आवेदन किया और मैं चला गया. मेरी सिर्फ दो फिल्में रिलीज होने को बची थीं और यह तो किस्मत की बात है कि दोनों ही सुपरहिट हो गईं.

मेरे दोस्त ने कहा, ‘वापस जाओ, फिर से काम करना शुरू करो’. मुझे कुछ और फिल्में मिलीं और मुझे और काम मिलता रहा. मैं भूल गया कि मेरे पास पासपोर्ट था. मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि मुझे इस पासपोर्ट को बदलवाना चाहिए लेकिन अब हां, मैंने अपना पासपोर्ट बदलवाने के लिए आवेदन किया है और एक बार मुझे कनाडा से त्याग की स्थिति मिल गई है
